I saw a sale for Eurostar tickets to Lille and decided it was finally time to visit this city that I'd only ever passed through on my way to Paris or Brussels. Everyone told me that I just needed an overnight stay to really see everything. They were wrong! I packed in a lot in my 36(ish) hour trip, though.
